Draft 3 Travel Guide: The Wilderness Escapes

Have you been to Lake Taupo in New Zealand?

Lake Taupo, which is the largest lake in New Zealand, is located in the North Island. Around the lake, there are many attractions for holidaymakers, such as Bungy Jumping, Sky Diving, sailing and Hot SPA. But I'd like to share with you my experience, " The Wilderness Escapes".

"The Wilderness Escapes" is the name of a kayaking trip on Lake Taupo.
There are brilliantly experienced guides, full instruction guides and includes all your equipment. Not only does it a tour, you can also have a great experience and make friends during your holiday.   Last time, I took a half-day (3hours) kayaking trip. It cost around  NZ$85 pp including transport, which is from your accommodation to the Lake, and refreshments.

Why did I try kayaking on Lake Taupo?

My main reason is that I wanted to see the Maori rock carvings. These are only accessible by boat or kayak. I'm experienced of kayaking, so this time was my second experience. The kayaking tour's highlight is the 10 metre tall Maori rock carving which were created in the late 1970s by some local artists.

If you are so fed up with ordinary holidays, I'd definitely recommend this experience and I would say that you won't be disappointed. Summer is the best season to go, because the weather is stunningly beautiful and you can spend a absolutely enjoyable time while kayaking.

Lastly, I would like to thank Michael, our guide, who shared his fabulous historical knowledge of Lake Taupo, the wild life, and a magnificent scenery. I had a really memorable holiday. I promise, I'll be back there and I'll try more long distance kayaking trips!!

Would you like to join me?

Draft 3 Review: The Big Bang Theory

Have you ever heard about the TV programme known in New Zealand as "The Big Bang Theory" before? It's an American sitcom. The all new series is on Wednesday at 8.30pm on TV2 and rebroadcast on Sunday at 7pm. If you miss out episodes, you can watch on the Internet at
http://tvnz.co.nz/the-big-bang-theory/s5-ep9-video-4797213

The show  is centered around five characters. There are roommates, Leonard and Sheldon, two brilliancy physicists who work at the California Institute of Technology. They are kind of geeky, but none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. Then there is Penny, a blond waitress who moves in next door  to their apartment. The plot location is their flat, workplace, the comic bookshop. The situation comedy has a storyline and on-going characters in, essentially, a comedic drama.

The acting is as good as gold, especially the main character, who is Sheldon. The TV program has highly entertaining, extremely amusing characters, and hilarious dialogue. I'm addicted to watching this TV program. I can't wait on Wednesday! I strongly recommended that you watch it. I promise, you'll enjoy it.

Travel guide: Australia Outback

What do you think about Australia?   Kangaroo, Koala, Opera House, Sydney?
But I would like to share you about more exciting travel in Australia. There are many cultural art, history and a magnificent scenery.

Travel from the southern coastal town of Adelaide, through the heart of Australia, the Red Centre and on to the lush Top End. Though it includes one full day to explore Alice Springs, you can break up your journey and stay longer in Alice Springs.

There are many travel agents, you can arrange as much you can stay in Australia(AUS).  Personally, 14days tour is no so bad, cost AUS$ 2000 included:

  • Experienced guides
  • meals as indicated
  • accommodation transfers
  • 7 nights camping fees & equipment, 6 nights hostel accommodation
  • Opal Mine tour
  • Aboriginal culture interpretive walk
  • National Park fees in South Australia

  • Day 1 – Adelaide to Quorn
Leaving Adelaide travel through the Clare Valley as it way towards the stunning Flinders Ranges. On  journey I enjoyed a lunch break at a local Clare Valley Winery, with some tastings thrown in. This great Aussie Atmosphere sets locals Pub for this evening.

Day 2 – Flinders Ranges & Wilpena Pound
The National Park where adventure, spirituality and tranquillity co-exist in one majestic destination. Tour went out on a hike for some spectacular views of the 'Flinders Ranges', named one of Australia's outstanding national landscapes. Caves for a glimpse at some local Aboriginal rock paintings and the stories that go with them. This evening enjoy a casual BBQ dinner.

Day 3 – Quorn to Coober Pedy
Travel through Port Augusta, then head north into the open landscapes and join the Stuart Highway (one of the longest highways in the world).

Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) will fascinate you, and you will discover some of the secrets of this ancient landform during the Valley of the Winds hike. You'll be mesmerised as the desert sun sets over Uluru, and as the night grows darker, curl up in your swag (Aussie bedroll) under millions of stars.

Day 6 – Uluru to Kings Canyon
It's an early start this morning, but you'll be rewarded with a glorious Uluru sunrise. While the morning's fresh (and your legs are too!) enjoy an unguided walk around the base of Uluru. You will then deepen your understanding of the land and the Mala people as you take a cultural interpretive walk with an Aboriginal guide (and interpreter). Day 14 - Kakadu to Darwin
Get ready for some 4WD action to Jim Jim Falls! Once we get there, we'll hike to the base of the falls before continuing on to Twin Falls. Feel the beauty of the stunning gorge and powerful falls from the National Park operated boat and boardwalk experience. Stop in at the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre this afternoon to learn about local Indigenous culture.

In addition, it's a terribly opportunity adventure way of touring Australia. I'd like to suggest that you don't have to take this tour because there are heaps of travel rotes. Here is more information:

    Review: The Big Bang Theory

The show is centered on five characters: roommates Leonard and Sheldon, two brilliancy physicists who work at the California Institute of Technology.

They are kind of Geek, but none of that genius helps them  interact with people, especially women.

Penny, a blond waitress and aspiring actress who moves in next door.

Lenard and Sheldon's equally geeky and socially awkward friends and co-workers aerospace engineer Howard and astrophysicist Rajesh.

The four guys is contrasted for comic effect, because their appearance is so Fanny fashion sense. Such as comic book heroes and movies characters. To with Penny's social skills and common sense are makes audience more interesting conversation.

The location is their apartment mainly, workplace, comic bookshop and Cheesecake Factory Restaurant ( penny's work place) .  A situation comedy has a storyline and ongoing characters in, essentially, a comedic drama. So this programs could be 2 more episodes in the same characters and situation each episode and expect audiences to be familiar with humor.
    Physicist

    Here is plot keyword:
    Group of Friends
    Apartment & Takeaways
    Idiosyncratic Character
    Computer
    Nerd

    Socially Awkward

    Cheesecake Factory Restaurant

It's highly entertaining and has hilarious dialogue. It may not be one of series in this season, there are 4 series behind. Honestly,  I'm addicted to watch this TV program. I can't wait on Wednesday.
I strongly recommend to watch it. I'll Promise, you'll be enjoy with that.
